This page is a departure from the other pages, but I hope you will find it worthy and amusing.
My idea was inspired by a comment from my long-time friend Larry, when he remarked that certain songs are so firmly associated with certain singers that no other singer could possibly ever do those songs, nor should even try.
The example he gave was “Mack the Knife,” by Bobby Darin.
My idea is to invert this concept and to set forth songs and singers that do not match. Here are some of my ideas. If you have an idea of your own, you can e-mail it to crassman@verycrasswords.com. If you want credit for your gem, your real name or your alias can be disclosed, as you specify. If you don’t want credit, then “Anon” will appear. If neither “Anon” nor a name/alias appears, then I am the culprit.
