Very Crass Words Dot Com

This website first appeared in early 2008. Most-recent changes were made on November 19, 2023, to “Names for People 1” and “Before and After.” Changes to pages almost always are at the bottom.

The creator of this Web site is a guy who lives somewhere in the U.S.A. The pronouns “I” and “my” used in the various pages refer to him.

The pages of this Web site are devoted to word play of several sorts, with X-rated and offensive word play being accepted, if not preferred. More categories of word play are planned (jokes included), so please come back often!

The pages are more or less self-explanatory when you get to them, but let me tell you here what they’re about:

Crass Crosswords 1, 2, 3 and 4 have more than 100 clues and answers for Sunday crossword puzzles. Many of these can’t be used by such puzzles because they’re offensive and nasty. I very much want to have hundreds more, so, please, please, please: If you have some contributions that you can part with, please send them to me! (Instructions for submissions are on the Crass Crosswords 1 page.)

Before and After has answers for the “Wheel of Fortune” TV-show feature of the same name. Some of these answers are offensive and nasty, but too many are tame enough for the lovely Vanna White. Needless to say, I would like to have hundreds more of the sort that would make Vanna blush. Perhaps the “Wheel” writers will send me the inappropriate clues they’re dying to use!  (Instructions for submissions are on the Crass Crosswords 1 page.)

Names for People 1 has punny people names that I have thought of myself or inadvertently stolen from friends and family. I hope to receive more punny people names from the people who visit this site.  (Instructions for submissions are on the Crass Crosswords 1 page.)

Names for People 2 through 5 has punny people names that were originally published in 1974 in a parody of a high school yearbook. The parody was done by National Lampoon magazine, and it is still one of the funniest and most delightful satires ever published.

Names Explained gives the sought-after pronunciation for the punny people names that are most difficult to get. And, when necessary, the reference is explained.

Game 1 is a simple yet challenging word game for one person.

Game 2 is a simple yet challenging word game for two people. You can learn it quickly, and the game can be played anywhere that you have paper and pen.

Game Answers gives answers to those games that have answers.

Long-Story Puns has long, convoluted jokes that end with punchline puns. The stories in the jokes often aren’t worth the buildup; however, they’re clever in their way, and after the first three or four, my defenses are down and I get to like them.

Jumble Variations comes from my friend David A. Hoyt, a master wordsmith. He writes a little love story based on anagrams that use the “word” NOSTEMO, which, when arranged properly, spells ...

Odds & Ends has small items that do not warrant their own pages yet.

Singers and Songs has a list of cover versions of popular songs and singers that I would like to see. The list, is, I hope, amusing for how inappropriate the singer-song matches are. For example, Justin Beiber doing “My Way.”
