Here’s the last of the punny names from the 1974 National Lampoon magazine parody of a 1964 high school yearbook.

These are the names of the freshmen of C. Estes Kefauver High School. There are 1,548 freshmen at the school, and all of them are pictured on a single page: 36 pictures deep by 43 pictures across! Each picture is only 3/8ths of an inch tall.

To make the insult worse, the reproduction of the photos is horrible: Some groups of photos are overexposed and some are underexposed. And you can see the cut marks left by the uncaring, incompetent paste-up artist.

Finally, the freshmen are so despised that only their first initials appear.

The delight of first beholding that funny yearbook page lives with me to this day.
